i call it “breakfast”

January 12, 2011 by tk

This is what I eat for breakfast probably 5-6 days per week (for sure mon – fri).  I call it “breakfast”, sorry no fancy names yet for this one. It’s basic.  It has a nice color, texture, some sweet, some hot, some cold, some crunch, some soft. It’s just a party for your mouth.  The way I make it, you’re staring down the spoon at around 350 calories or so, but those calories are packed with fiber, essential proteins & fats and a good dosage of antioxidants.  This is a great way to start your day and it just takes a few minute to make!

stuff you’ll need:
¼ cup steel cut oats
½ cup frozen blue berries
6 raw almonds
6 raw walnut halves
1 tbs goji berries
1 tbs shelled hemp seed (yes, it’s legal)

what to do with the stuff
Dump oats in bowl and add water (not much) just so that it is equal to the level of the oats.  Microwave on high for 2 min.  Put the rest on top, stir and eat.

Try it, you will like it, you will see…
