Pesto is a good thing to know how to make and it is so easy.
2 cups fresh basil – chopped
¼ cup pine nuts (or raw almonds)
3 cloves garlic – pressed (or minced)
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes (or you can use cream of wheat cereal)
pinch of ground cayenne
½ cup oilve oil
what to do with the stuff:
dump all the pesto ingredients (basil, pine nuts, garlic, nutritional yeast, cayenne) into your Vitamix (or food processor) and pulse/blend slow until all the large chucks are ground then slowly pour in the olive oil and blend until the pesto is the consistency that you like and bada bing bada boom, you are done!
